Why Your AR Reconciliation Still Breaks After You 'Automate' It

The bot does not need to resolve these, it needs to route them correctly.
Layer 3: Escalation governance. Every exception that the bot cannot classify goes to a human with context: the original invoice, the payment details, the match attempt, and why it failed. Not a generic queue, a structured work item with enough information to resolve in under 5 minutes instead of 20.
The bot handles Layer 1. Layers 2 and 3 are governance, they exist in the process design, not in the automation code. When a new exception type appears (and it will), you add it to the taxonomy and define its routing. The bot itself rarely changes.
What changes after
